Predjama Castle

Set in the entrance to a huge cave Predjama castle is truly impressive and has dominated the area for over 800 years. The largest cave-castle in the world had us spellbound with it’s beauty and history, as well as it’s darker secrets of terrible torture and suffering. We purchased the audio guide which was definitely worth it as there are around 27 different stories along the way. There are quite a few steps and some are quite steep, but don’t let this put you off. A great place to visit for a couple of hours. Open every day.
