If you have time take the 26km trip to Lake Bohinj as it can be a great alternative to touristy Lake Bled. There are a few hotels and restaurants and a beautiful church. This is a wonderful place to relax and take it easy, with swimming, kayaking and hiking being the most strenuous activities.

Straight out of a postcard, the Church of Saint John the Baptist looks out across the lake with a stone bridge in the foreground. The 700 hundred year old medieval church contains beautiful frescoes, some say the angels have vampire teeth, you be the judge.
